Life Sciences is an innovative and technology-intensive sector. During this live event, experts talked about Next Gen Sequencing, Cell Biology and innovative developments in DNA technologies, among other topics.
The customer
Three years back, the FHI started the Life Science topic, but because of Corona, an event kept getting postponed. The event was organized from the laboratory technology industry. The Life Science event is a new topic for which an event has never been organized before. Therefore, the purpose of the event was to bring people together and connect the suppliers/exhibitors with the end users: the people who work in a laboratory or make purchases.
The event
On April 5, the event kicked off in Congress Hall B with an opening by the chairman of the day, followed by a plenary program of Keynotes. The Lounge was furnished with 19 booths, which guests could visit during all breaks. Members of the industry association were at the event with their booths. These were mainly suppliers for equipment or software in laboratory technology.
Smoothies and drinks
In addition to a well-rounded program, coffee, tea, sandwiches and smoothies were provided at break times. Speakers included Dr. Anne Rios of the Princess Maxima Center, Dr. Bart Keijzer of TNO, Prof. Dr. Ed Schuuring and Dr. Sander Kooijmans of UMC Utrecht. After a plenary closing in Congress Room B, the day ended with drinks in the Lounge.
