Renting the entire building
Bubbling in the ear, dining in the gut

A drink in the ear, a dinner in the gut or a walking dinner through the entire ''Journey Through the Human Body'': it is possible at CORPUS Congress Centre. The event location recently decided to make not only the complete congress center, but also the ''Journey Through the Human Body'' and its interactive rooms available for business events. Michelle Nieuwenburg, Congresses & Events project coordinator: "We were regularly asked if we had any more rooms available for sub-sessions. Besides, the ''Journey Through the Human Body'' always appeals to the imagination: weren't there more possibilities there? The answer was yes, so in addition to our conference center, clients can now rent our interactive rooms and the "Journey Through the Human Body"'. You then have the whole building for your event!'

The giant human figure on the A44 motorway near Leiden is an iconic building that many people regularly drive past. Michelle: 'Clients often already know our building and have heard of the ''Journey Through the Human Body''. The multifunctional congress center - with a large 568m2 congress hall - is therefore well liked, also for multi-day congresses. But more can be done!

''Journey Through the Human Body'' and interactive spaces exclusively for your event

'Clients who really need a lot of space can now also rent the entire building,' Michelle explains. 'In addition to our convention center, they then also rent the ''Journey Through the Human Body'' and the associated interactive spaces exclusively for their event. So they have 12 additional (sub)rooms. We can host 800 guests in the entire building, 540 of which are plenary.'

In the ''Journey Through the Human Body,'' as a visitor you move through the human body. You walk through the womb, through the intestines and so you visit different parts of the body. After the 'journey,' you descend through interactive floors. 'If you rent the entire building, we can now offer an additional room on each floor for sub-sessions,' Michelle clarifies. 'The interactive rooms are large and functional like a hall; people have nice space there.'

Drinks or dinner in the ear

In addition, if you want to make an unforgettable impression on your guests, you can make a special combination with the 'journey through man'. Michelle: 'In this way we offer something completely different from a standard hall and can really get creative in coming up with unique customized concepts. For example, we can do a walking dinner in 'journey through man'. Guests are then given something on each floor of the 'journey through man' that is linked to the theater of the human body where they are at that moment. In the mouth, for example, they get something to eat that crackles. But we also have a drink in the ear and dinner in the gut. So we can do really fun things on demand.'

'We can really offer something unique!'

The new options are already proving an immediate success. Michelle: 'The building has already been fully rented several times, because the clients wanted to use several sub rooms. So we had an event where yoga was given in our Penthouse on the 8th floor, a cooking workshop on the 7th and each floor was used for something different. Although we have always been quite flexible with the rooms, we now have even more options. Of course, the best thing now would be a combination of both: a conference with various sub-sessions in the interactive rooms and then at the end of the day a spectacular drink or dinner in one or more of the rooms in the ''Journey Through the Human Body''. By combining the different rooms and spaces, we can really offer something unique. This opens up all kinds of creative possibilities!
